Windrowers
In anticipation of Tier IV, we're working to balance greater performance needs with economic considerations.

Higher productivity, higher transport speed between fields and higher horsepower highlight the windrower marketplace today. Meanwhile, fuel economy and meeting Tier IV engine requirements have become significant issues.
At Sauer-Danfoss, we’re working to maximize machine efficiency in terms of best use of available horsepower and best system design for the work at hand. Historically, our windrowers systems have been configured for manual propel and steering using direct displacement control (DDC) pumps. Our Series 40 variable motors have provided the two-speed field and travel function that’s required. Series 40 pumps and motors have offered appropriate displacements, pressure capabilities, speed ratings and controls for existing market requirements.
Future developments may offer even more exciting possibilities. We’re carefully exploring applications of new H1 pumps and the PLUS+1™ electronic control network to provide electronic steering. PLUS+1™ will also provide advanced power management.
We understand the market-specific requirements – resulting in the most appropriate systems for your machines. Sauer-Danfoss is your only true single source provider for propel, open circuit, work function and controls.
