System/Application Description (AD)

A system description provides information, and references information, that facilitates start-up of a vehicle sub-system. A sub-system is a group of electrohydraulic or electric drive products interconnected to perform a specific vehicle function, and includes electronic controls and software.

The sub-system description document has two key functions:

• It is an element of the application file, which is the software engineering deliverable product that will be posted on the Sauer-Danfoss website for users to download.
• It includes a benefits section making it suitable for promotional purposes.

System descriptions include, but are not limited to:

• Sub-system overview
• Hardware components
• Application software
• List of contents of GUIDE application file, packaged as a zipped folder
