How to Install .hwd Files

• Suggestion: Create Folder on C: PRIOR to downloading-this will be very important with Vista computers
• Visit the PLUS+1 Download site 
• Double click on the file to download
  • Save the file in a folder created for GUIDE downloads
  • Launch PLUS+1 GUIDE
  • In the Setup menu, choose Install Hardware and browse for the .hwd file just saved
• Click Install

How to Install .pac Files

A .pac file contains a number of HWD files. All of them can be installed in one operation just by installing the .pac file.

• All hardware (.hwd and .pac) files must be installed before they can be used.
• In GUIDE, click on Setup then Install Hardware.
• Click browse, and select file to install.
• Click Install and the selected .hwd file, or all the .hwd files in the .pac file will install automatically.

How to Install a .doc File 

Document file - this is another type of HWD file for installation. It will provide a common link to the PLUS+1 programmable products available in the Technical PLUS+1 Product Family Technical Information Manual (PDF MB)

• Visit the PLUS+1 Download site (link)
• Double click on the file to download
• Save the file in a folder you’ve created for storing GUIDE downloads
• Launch PLUS+1 GUIDE
• In the Setup menu, choose Install Hardware and browse for the saved .hwd file
• Click Install

How to Install and Purchase a Full License for PLUS+1 GUIDE

• Suggestion: Create Folder on C: PRIOR to downloading-this will be very important with Vista computers
• Download and save the Setup file the to local computer hard drive (Click “Download it” below)
• Install PLUS+1 GUIDE & start PLUS+1 GUIDE
• A warning will be displayed if no active license is presently installed
• Click “Get ID”
• Fill the form including contact and company information, valid email address and Purchase Order number
• Click “Generate File” and send the generated file to: PLUS1License@sauer-danfoss.com
  After the order has been processed, a confirmation email with a license file is sent. This may take up to two days
  
• Save the license file on the local computer hard drive
• Click “Add License” and select the saved license file
• Click “Make Active” and select a password or not. (Selecting a password will prompt for the password every time PLUS+1 GUIDE is opened)
• Click “Close”

Minimum System Requirements

• • 1.5 GHz processor
  • Microsoft Windows XP (32-bit) or Windows 7 (32-bit)
  • Local Administrator Access on used PC.
  • 1 GB of system memory
  • 355 MB of available hard disk space
  • 1024 x 768 or higher resolution graphics card/monitor with 16 bit colors
  • Access to Email for license registration
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader v7.0 or higher
  • MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 2 (Microsoft XML Core Services)

How to Obtain and Install a PLUS+1 TM Service Tool License

• Download and save the PLUS+1 GUIDE Setup file on the local computer hard drive
• Install PLUS+1 GUIDE
• Start PLUS+1 GUIDE
• A warning will be displayed if an active license is not installed
• Click “Get License”

• Fill the form including contact and company information and valid email address. In place of the Purchase Order number enter "No Charge Service Tool License."
• Click “Generate File” and send the generated file to PLUS1License@sauer-danfoss.com
• After a request has been processed, a confirmation email with a license file is sent. This may take up to two days
• Save the license file on the local computer hard drive
• In GUIDE, click “Add License” and select the saved license file
•
• Click “Make Active” and select a password or not. (Selecting a password will prompt for the password every time open GUIDE is opened)
• Click “Close"
The Service Tool portion of PLUS+1 GUIDE is now available for use.
